I've been on a shopping spree. Alpinestar Hero jacket, Alpinestar Bat pants, GPX boots, bike maintenance stuff (oil, chain lube, de-greaser, front and rear stands, tank pad). It's time for me to buy a dozen quick draws and a sport climbing rope too. The Xbox has dropped to $150 which makes me want to buy one, which would mean I need to get a flatpanel too. I don't know what's causing this need to shop - I guess I'm sad or something.

The need to shop is likely a combined response to better weather in the NW, REI div. + sales, and the general crave for gears. In past, gears == new computers/computer parts. IMHO, bike gear, and climbing shoes, roof racks, etc. amount to a much better investment then the 15 or computer we owned a few years back. At the very least there are scars of glory to show :)
