I didn't know that you could get a sunburn so easily. Either I'm turning white or being at 6500 feet puts you that much closer to the sun and radiation so that even intermittent sunlight can toast the skin... Damn ozone depletion. I got sunburned on my neck, lips, and ears. The only three damn places I didn't put any sunscreen. The camping was a trip though - Andrew brought everything including the kitchen sink since we didn't have to lug the stuff to a base camp. Air mattress, propane canisters, two laterns, double grill, 4 person party tent, alcohol, junk food, ice pack - you name it - we had it. Among the highlights were the snowboarders and skiiers coming down the mountain, the hot half white half japanese bartender chick at lee's tavern somewhere on the way to Rainer after the trailer parks. This bar had coin operated nut dispensers. I love ghetto hick places like that. Played chess at night, and tried not to bother the bearded 20-something park ranger that looked like a gnome. He even drove a golf cart to make sure everything in the camp site was in order. Being lowered into a crevasse was definitely exciting - the pictures will be here soon after I get the film developed. The trip was awesome - too both Andrew and I both had some gastronomical issues probably due to the bar food we ate in Ashford saturday evening (although that shit was good). No more climbing classes - now I gotta figure out if I want to continue with this climbing thing after Mt. Baker in July - tough choices need to be made =/ Meanwhile, I keep thinking I'm turning into a Libertarian - at least it gets my mind thinking on good change.
